Explore the fascinating geological history of Whidbey Island and the impact of the ancient glaciers on the landscape we are familiar with today. Our speaker is Dr. Grant Heiken,  a volcanologist who worked for NASA during the Apollo Program and for the Los Alamos National Laboratory on energy, natural hazards, and urban issues. He moved to Whidbey Island in 2004 and has been involved with environmental organizations, Island County, and Washington State Parks.
