We are the ALE 6-8 program in the South Whidbey School District. We’re putting on a fun child-friendly cycling event to raise awareness on the idea of improving and increasing bike paths on Whidbey Island and the use of eco-friendly car alternatives, and are trying to raise signatures from the community to support bike paths.
Our event is a small, child friendly awareness campaign. We will have various stations and activities such as a scavenger hunt, bike maintenance station, learning how to put a bike on a bus, bike activity stations, fun non-cycling related activities, and more. Our event will take place at the South Whidbey K-4 elementary campus, on April 30th from 11-2:00 PM So join us and we’ll spread the word about our idea!
