Ready to get your hands in the soil? Good Cheer Garden is hosting a work party in the Big ACRE garden! The Big ACRE is one of two garden sites that grows fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers for the Good Cheer Food Bank. This garden allows Good Cheer to provide local and nutrient-dense produce to the community year-round that is grown using organic and low-till practices.
Spend the afternoon in the orchard weeding, feeding (with worm castings from their worm bins!), and woodchipping the fruit trees to help prepare them for the season ahead. Tools and gloves will be provided, but please come prepared to work outside with warm layers, water bottles, etc. Please contact by email with any questions. garden@goodcheer.org
