Orchard Day with Good Cheer Garden

Ready to get your hands in the soil? Good Cheer Garden is hosting a work party in our Big ACRE garden! The Big ACRE is one of two garden sites that grows fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers for the Good Cheer Food Bank. This garden allows us to provide local and nutrient-dense produce to the community year-round that is grown using organic and low-till practices.

We will spend the afternoon in the orchard weeding, feeding (with worm castings from our worm bins!), and woodchipping our fruit trees to help prepare them for the season ahead. Tools and gloves will be provided, but please come prepared to work outside with warm layers, water bottles, etc. Please contact us by email with any questions.

The Big ACRE is located behind the old Bayview School building (now Goosefoot’s office space!). The garden at the top of the gravel hill. Parking is available near the garden and in the shaded lower lot.
