Rain gardens are a practical way to manage rain water and storm water runoff. They can recharge groundwater aquifers, reduce flooding and protect waterways from siltation. Penny Livingston has created water retention landscapes throughout her career as a permaculturist and a licensed landscape designer and contractor.  She will share step by step instructions on how to construct and maintain rain gardens as well as avoid potential pitfalls.
