United Student Leaders is a youth-led organization that advocates for environmental justice and social equity. Our newest campaign, Project Vocalize Our Future, is beginning to take shape. Over the next few months, we are going to be holding a series of protests all around Island County to demand that a Climate Emergency Declaration be declared, and that the county take immediate and bold climate action. We have pulled together a strong base of community members on the South end of Whidbey Island, and we would like to build the same level of connections throughout the whole of Island County. These protests will take place in Coupeville, Oak Harbor, and Camano Island.
Our next protest will be held in Oak Harbor, on Friday, April 21st. We will be protesting in front of the Island County District Court Office (800 SE 8th Ave, Oak Harbor, WA 98277).
