Come to the general meeting of Whidbey Audubon Society to learn about Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST) with Julia Parrish who will describe what this citizen-science project is telling us. Based at the University of Washington, it is a broad volunteer base covering all the West Coast states and conducts observation and data collection in three categories to assess marine and beach ecosystem health: beachcast birds, marine debris and
