We’ll gather informally at the Beaver Tales Coffee on the Coupeville Wharf. This is a Sip & Science event for Earth and Ocean Month\, whidbeyearthday.org.\n\nThomas Nowak\, CFP\, is a local hourly\, fee-only\, financial adviser. He changed careers after 30 years as a scientist. He is a member of the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment in the US (USSIF)\, and the author of two books\,\nLow Fee Socially Responsible Investing (2012) and Low Fee Vegan Investing (2014). Thomas is s member of the Greening Congregations Collaborative of Whidbey Island.

DESCRIPTION:Join Whidbey Watershed Stewards for Nettle Fest. Jeremy McKnight has planned a number of activities for the day\, including nettle soup\, nettle tea\, and basket making. Jeremy has been a professional in the Environmental Remediation and Habitat Restoration industry for the past 20 years. He has worked on a wide variety of restoration sites from small streams to very large tidal area restorations. Jeremy has been working on many of the Whidbey Watershed Stewards stewardship projects with the South Whidbey Scout Troop.
